How do I change the privacy of my profile?
Click on the Settings link in the top navigation then in the Privacy section click the option you want. Once done click the Save Changes button.
How do I change my password?
Click on the Settings link in the top navigation then in the Password section type in your current password, new password and confirm new password in the respective text boxes. Once done click the Save Changes button.
How do I block a user?
When viewing a profile you can block the user by clicking the Block User link that appears at the top right beside the search box. (If the user is on your friend list you must remove them first).
Stream The stream is where you can view the newest status and video posts by your friends, as well as post your own to share with your friends. How do I post a status for my friends to see?
When you are on the Home page at the top of your screen type your post into the box and then click the Post Status button.
How do I post a video for my friends to see?
When you are on the Home page at the top of the screen click the Video link. There should be two boxes now. In the first one you can type in a status to go along with the video if you would like. The second box is where you can post a YouTube video URL. Once done click on the Post Status button.
How do I get the YouTube video URL?
The easiest way to make sure that the YouTube video URL always works is on the YouTube website underneath the video you want to post click on the Share button. A box will appear with a URL to that video that you can copy and use.
How can I view only the status or only the bulletin posts?
Near the top right of the Stream are the words Statuses and Bulletins with check boxes beside them. When you first load the Home page you will notice that both are checked off which means that all statuses and bulletins will show up on the Stream. If you check Statuses, uncheck Bulletins and click the Update button only status posts will show up on the Stream. If you uncheck Statuses, check Bulletins and click the Update button only bulletins will show up on the Stream.
Follow Links Follow links can be found under statuses, bulletins, blogs, and pictures. If you follow a post you will receive notifications whenever someone comments on that post. How do I follow a post?
You can follow a post by clicking on the Follow link underneath it. You will automatically be following a post that you write as well as if you comment on a post by someone else.
How do I unfollow a post?
You can unfollow a post by clicking on the Unfollow link underneath it.
How do I stop receiving all the notifications on a post I have commented on?
In the top navigation bar you can click on Settings and find the section titled Notifications. You can uncheck the boxes of the types of posts you do not want to automatically follow when you comment on them.
Blog The blog is where you can write and publish anything that's on your mind. How do I write a new blog post?
From the Home page click on the Blog link in the left navigation then at the top right of the page click the New Blog Post button. You can then use the text editor to compose your blog post and when completed click the Post Blog button.
How do I edit a blog post?
From the Home page click on the Blog link in the left navigation then find the blog post you wish to edit and click on its heading. At the top right click the link that says Edit, use the text editor to make any changes and when completed click the Post Blog button.
How do I delete a blog post?
From the Home page click on the Blog link in the left navigation then find the blog post you wish to delete and click on the Delete link found underneath that post.
Bulletins A bulletin is a type of Stream post you can make, which allows you to use a text editor to format it. How do I post a a new bulletin?
From the Home page click on the New Bulletin link in the left navigation. You can then use the text editor to compose your bulletin and when completed click the Post Bulletin button.
Photos How do I upload photos?
From the Home page click on the Photos link in the left navigation then at the top left of the page you can either click the Upload Photos button, which allows you to upload one photo at a time or the Upload Multiple Photos button, which allows you to upload several photos as at once.
How do I change my profile picture?
Making sure that you have at least one photo uploaded, from the Home page click on the Photos link in the left navigation then click the album that the photo is in. Above the photo you wish to use click the Set as Profile Picture link.
How can I quickly view all photos in a user's album?
When you view a user's photos in an album you can use the Previous/Next buttons found near the top to go through them or you can use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.
How do I view all the photos I've been tagged in?
Hover over the Notifications link at the top of the screen and in the drop down click on New Picture Tags.
How do I change the name of an album?

Friends How do I send a friend request?
When viewing a profile you can send the user a friend request by clicking the Add Friend link that appears at the top right beside the search box.

How do I view my new friends?
From the Home page click on the Friends link in the left navigation then at the top right of the page click the View New Friends link.
How do I view my online friends?
From the Home page click on the Friends link in the left navigation then at the top right of the page click the View Online Friends link.
How do I see everyone who has signed up?
To view all users signed up on Socialien leave the search box at the top empty and click the Search button. All the users will show up with the newest at the end.
How do I edit my top friends?
If your profile type is set to Myspace v1 you have the option of having top friends show up on your profile page. To edit them from the Home page click on the Edit Profile link in the left navigation then near the top right of the page click the Edit Top Friends link. In the text boxes that show up just start typing the display name of the user you want to add and when they show up in the drop down click on them to add them. Once done click the Save button.

From the Home page click on the Edit Profile link in the left navigation. What shows up on the editing page depends on which profile type you have.
How do I change my profile type?
Click on the Settings link in the top navigation then in the Profile Type section click the option you want. Once done click the Save Changes button.
How do I edit my profile when I have the HTML profile type?
You can think of the HTML type profile as a blank canvas that you can design any way you want as you would a website. One thing to note is that the code you put in should be whatever you would put in between <body> tags so you do not include the body tags yourself. Also, you cannot use external CSS style sheets. You have to put it as an internal style sheet or inline style. Below is a simple example of what the code should look like when you are using the HTML profile:
